Bartleby’s is a newer vegan food truck offering fried seitan patties & sandwiches, nuggets, salads, fried pickles, sweet potato fries, and more! I first discovered Bartleby’s on social media and I was so excited to see that a food truck with “comfort food” would be making its way around Boston.
The branding and story behind Bartleby’s is unique and fun. “To hell with meat!” is the slogan, and “Satan” and “Seitan” sound a bit similar, so it all ties together (their truck has a picture of a devil.)
You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, as they all consist of their fried and crispy seitan (wheat gluten.) Some may say that this type of seitan closely resembles and takes on the taste and texture of chicken.
Their sandwiches all come on a pretzel bun, and you can get 5, 10, or 12 nuggets. One of the best parts about Bartleby’s are the SAUCES! So many homemade sauces. Ranch, “honey” mustard, BBQ, spicy sauce, “special” sauce, and more. It is so refreshing to go to a food truck and know you can order whatever you’d like as a vegan.

This looks so good! I’ve only had the chance to eat their once and had to wait in line for like 40 minutes (it was at vegfest) but was so #worthIt.
