Is there anything better than Whole Foods? In my opinion — NO! They have just about everything you need when it comes to grocery shopping. Anything from vegan cheese, spreads, meat substitutes, milk, coffee, baked goods, etc. In addition to getting my groceries at Whole Foods, I’ve actually had luck with some to-go meals and foods I can’t get on the spot at any other grocery store. I have a few examples below of what you can order and customize!
The TTLA (tempeh, tomato, lettuce, and avocado). You may have heard the new craze around the TTLA sandwich! Vegan or not, shoppers were going nuts over this sandwich, and rightfully so. The TTLA is a vegan version of a BLT, but of course, even better. Most Whole Foods has them either pre-made or can make it upon request! For the best experience, ask for it heated up & slightly toasted.
Vegan sushi. Specifically, the Ahimi roll! Ocean Hugger Foods is changing the game when it comes to vegan fish. Their ahimi is made with tomatoes but takes on the look, texture, and taste of raw tuna. Some Whole Foods have the roll already made and ready to go! But if you don’t see it at your location, don’t panic — they can take requests for custom rolls, as long as they have the ahimi! They put it together with rice, avocado, and cucumber. Don’t forget some extra soy sauce on the side!
Pizza, pizza, and more pizza. Is there anything better? Using Daiya cheese, Whole Foods makes the most perfect pizzas. The cheese is super melty, the crust has the perfect amount of crunch, and you can add whichever toppings you’d like. Get half with toppings, or half just cheese if you want! A whole pizza is ready within 20 minutes or so.
Homemade chocolate chip scones. Craving something sweet for either breakfast or a snack? Whole Foods always has a nice variety of homemade vegan baked goods. I recently had their chocolate chip scone, and it was amazing! Perfectly paired with a hot coffee or a glass of plant-based milk.
